Kebbi state College of Nursing Sciences Birnin Kebbi formally known as Kebbi State School of Nursing and Midwifery Birnin Kebbi was established in 2002 and accreditated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) to run basic nursing and basic midwifery programmes.
The institution was upgraded to a College in 2021 and accreditated by both NMCN and NBTE to run ND/HND in Nursing.
We train and produce competent and skillful professionals that are ready to provide quality nursing care inline with global best practices.

The ND/HND Nursing is a four-year uninterrupted programme. The ND Nursing is a non-terminal 2 years programme and the graduates will proceed for 2 years HND programme. During the period of training, the candidate will graduate as a Registered Nurse plus one available Nursing Specialty before proceeding for NYSC.
It is a 3-year (6 semesters) programme that is designed to train students on practical nursing skills and provide them with the required knowledge and clinical experience to become certified professionals who can practice independently and interdependently
This is a 3-year (6 semesters) Basic Midwifery programme, approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN). Designed to train competent and skilled midwifery professionals who are ready to practice in any community for the purpose of improving maternal health and reducing pregnancy related complications
Each of these programmes is of 18 moths duration equalling 3 academic semesters. It is designed for registered midwives who aspire to become registered nurses and vice versa. Applicants must have active practicing licence issued by NMCN.
This is a 2-year programme designed to produce competent community-based cadre of nursing practitioners who would spearhead and implement nursing and health care services to the population as a fundamental human right, at the grassroots level. The graduates shall return to practice in their villages and the existing community health facility
It is a 2-year programme aimed at The aim at preparing a lower cadre of competent and skilled midwifery practitioners, who are capable of providing midwifery services to individuals and expectant families, primarily in homes and in Primary Health Care centers and other health care facilities within the rural community.
Improved and mutual awareness of the significance of community health can lead to fostering greater accomplishment for the residents of healthy communities that are marked by improved health and quality of life
